19 weeks!!!

Weekly Info...

How far along are you? 19 weeks!!

How I’m feeling: pretty good actually! My nephew spent the week with us and it helped get me moving around. No time to lounge with a 2 year old.

Total weight gain: no scale this week. Maybe next week.

How big is baby? "Your baby weighs roughly 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom – about the size of a large heirloom tomato. The arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of the body now."
 - According to babycenter app.

Maternity clothes: from here on out. Regular tops are nowhere near long enough. Regular bottoms are nowhere near wide enough. Haha! Unless I buy a size or two bigger and that's not happening.

Stretch marks? No. And just for giggles, I've started lathering the cocoa butter. Here's to seeing if genetics are friendly.

Sleep: sleep this week was much easier to find, except on days when the nephew woke up in the middle of the night. Chasing a two year old all day helps. No time to rest so my evenings were spent falling asleep at a reasonable time and getting around 9 hours of good sleep!!!! Thank goodness!

Best moment this week: She. Just. Moved. My. Hand!! Twice. On the outside I could feel her :)
I tried recording it but she quit moving haha. Those were some forceful little moves though. I sure do love this little miss and her spunky personality already. I think she's gonna have her Momma's sass. We shall see.

Movement: still a little gymnast in the evenings. I had only been feeling her inside. Some friends of mine mentioned they have been feeling their littles on the outside and I was getting quite jealous. Welp, now I can join the club of "feel baby on outside" :)

Food cravings: fresh fruits and veggies!!

Food aversions: sweets. Well, truth is I crave sweets like Oreos then I eat too many (read: any more than one) and I am so miserable I wish I hadn't indulged.

Belly button in or out: innnnn.

What I Miss: nothing right now! I am loving every single minute of this!!

What I’m looking forward to: August 12th. We have our anatomy scan. Pray my severe anxiety doesn't come to be reality. Haha! I have been having severe anxiety that we go on the 12th and they say "congrats on your little boy" - not because I'd be sad it's a boy. But because I've been calling little miss a miss and we've been calling her by name...I sure hope I haven't been calling him a her. It'd be hard to change. Phil on the other hand would squeal if our little 'girl' grew 'boy parts' over the past few weeks.

Milestone: feeling little miss on the outside. It sure is amazing!! Now I just need her to do it while Phil is home and able to feel her :)

18 weeks :)

Weekly Info...

How far along are you? 18 whole weeks today!! How crazy fast it has gone!!

How I’m feeling: fat. Haha. Pretty good though. This week has been pretty good with family visiting and helping time pass.

Total weight gain:

How big is baby? 5.5inches long and 7ounces in weight. She sure is making room in there!!

Maternity clothes: always. Favorite this week has been maxi style skirts with tanks.

Stretch marks? No. Although I was told I needed to lather the cocoa butter every day.

Sleep: some nights are better than others. When I wake up on my stomach (I start on my side every night) I feel that's the longest, best I've slept. But when I actually start moving around and waking up after having slept on the belly I find it very uncomfortable.

Best moment this week: increased movement, spending time with my family that visited.

Movement: whoa this girl likes to wait til I'm nice and comfy laying or resting before she starts her gymnastics routine. She isn't very active during the day but like clockwork between 7 and 10pm she is having a blast.

Food cravings: everything my friend mentions she is having to eat that day haha. I get a text about food and I think "oh man that is what I need, now!!"

Food aversions: none this week. Anything red gives me terrible heartburn though. It hasn't stopped me. I just have the Tums nearby.

Belly button in or out: in. Way in.

What I Miss: being able to eat a whole meal without feeling like it's just sitting in my chest still. I can tell the insides are getting smushed because the meals are getting smaller and smaller and the breaths are getting shorter and shorter.

What I’m looking forward to: we get to see our baby girl again in a few weeks!! I'm also looking forward to the mister being able to feel her moving.

Milestone: I cannot believe we are almost halfway finished with this pregnancy!!! Time has flown for sure!!

17 weeks!!

Weekly Info...

How far along are you? 17 weeks 1 day

How I’m feeling: zero energy. Whoever said you get your energy back starting the second trimester- you lied.

Total weight gain: the belly sure feels much bigger but no weight gain. Even after being told I need to eat protein every three hours, no weight gain.

How big is baby? 5 inches long and weighs 5 ounces...approximately.

Maternity clothes: yep. Bye bye non-maternity clothes.

Stretch marks? Nope.

Sleep: hmmm, I did have 2 nights this week of 5 hours uninterrupted sleep!! And it was aaaaaa-mazing!!

Best moment this week: finding out it's a girl and Phil is super excited too!!!

Movement: first real movement this week of baby moving from one side to the other. Too bad she couldn't do that during our ultrasound so we could see her face clearly. Prior to now it's just been flips and flops in there.

Food cravings: watermelon. And it's safe to say I don't need anymore, anytime soon.

Food aversions: none, thankfully.

Belly button in or out: In.

What I Miss: my tank tops covering the entire belly. I used to be able to tuck them in (I wear a spaghetti strap tank top under everything). Now they don't stay down. Phil even pointed out last night haha.

What I’m looking forward to: watching my belly grow even though it can be quite painful at times due to stretching.

Milestone: finding out the gender :)

Here are some of my favorites while taking pictures this weekend of our announcement...
Getting ready:

It felt kinda weird with the paint. It was warm and wiggly. Phil hated the paint on his hands!!

Final product:

No side belly shots yet. I'll take one and add it later today :)

Week 16 :)

Weekly Info...

How far along are you? 16 weeks today.

How I’m feeling: pretty amazing after today's appointment.

Total weight gain: minus another 2 pounds.

How big is baby? The size of an avocado according to the Baby Center app.

Maternity clothes: even though it's warm (read: hot as crap out) I'm enjoying my maternity jeans and tank tops the most.

Stretch marks? Nope.

Sleep: it has been better this week except taking multiple potty breaks throughout the evening. I can't hold it all night at all.

Best moment this week: Hearing the heartbeat at our appointment today. Feeling the little munchkin move around after being extremely worried about this appointment.

Movement: not as much movement this week, but the movement I did feel came at just the right time.

Food cravings: Lucky Charms with skim milk.

Food aversions: nothing noticed this week, thankfully.

Belly button in or out: In.

What I Miss: sleeping all night without 2+ potty breaks.

What I’m looking forward to: finding out the gender. :)

Milestone: excited we made it through our 16 week appointment finding out all is (still) well. :)

Weekly picture: :)

Total weight gain: Not getting on the scale today ... Sorry.

How big is baby? The size of an apple :)

Maternity clothes: Bought some super cute shirts while we were in Ohio and I love wearing them around.

Stretch marks? Nope.

Sleep: None of that either. Super duper tired lately with zero energy.

Best moment this week: Hearing the heartbeat.

One. Tired. Momma. Out.
